Calling Bocarp! Looks like one of 29 specials from back in the day. Over 100K and reserve not met yet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1982-Kawasaki-Other/183835989034?hash=item2acd7a942a:g:0VAAAOSwP2dc9oTC
Last one sold for about $105k on eBay 4-5 years ago. Hands down the bike at the top of my list if I had fu money!
Nice. I'd hardtail it, rake the front out, put a springer front end on it and make it into yet another captain america replica.
NO way man. That would ruin it. Now...adding a ~6' chrome swingarm and nitrous would make it dope. Boyyyyyyyy...
I remember seeing the discovery pictures of that bike a while ago - same ones that are in the ad. I thought the guy had already flipped it and moved on. I guess not.
Damn. Nice bike for sure, but north of 100k? I could fill my shop with cool ass bikes and not even reach half that amount.
That would normally have a big stator and rotor/flywheel there, so instead it has a little cap over the end of the crank. I remember seeing one of those at Grayboy Kawasaki in Peoria, IL when I was a kid and they were expensive back then. I want to say it was somewhere between 12,900 and 15,900 and a regular bike was probably 4-5K. Edit: Found this while searching. Evidently dealer cost was 10,999 and this was the bike I saw. https://raresportbikesforsale.com/kawgasm-1982-kawasaki-kz1000s1/
You do realize that this is one of 30 actual factory race bikes? This is not your normal run of the mill ELR replica.
