Great place. LOTS of fast guys have come out of there: Eslick, Westby, West, I know I'm missing some....
I hope the track now has indoor plumbing. When I was there in 1997, racers had to use an outhouse. And the track was bumpier than an MX track.
Yeah, it's better than it was 22 years ago. They have an onsite restaurant and electricity available in the pit areas too. It isn't Barber, but it's half the price and still a fun way to spend a weekend.
AWESOME breakfast, especially if it is an off day. I would gorge myself on eggs and ham steak and then go back to the RV to fart and sleep all day.
They do TONS of track days too. They squeeze in as many as they can when the weather is nice. Plenty of track time to be had at that track. Very fun and challenging track.
We always enjoyed Hallett. Isn't that the track that plays that godawful chicken music when the sun comes up? As far as CMRA goes, I have nothing but good things to say about what they do at the track.
They repaved it but many of the bumps have come back. There's a big one (more of a whoop than a bump) in T-5 that totally ruins the line through there. T-6 also has gotten pretty bad again. They've done a whole bunch of paddock improvements though. Lots of new concrete, re-wired all of the garage spaces, added a bunch more electrical boxes, and more. I haven't been able to get down there since Sept 2017 but I see it all on facebook.
