To me the BMW is the most interesting of the new crop. Doesn't get much fanfare because it's not red or marketed like a Harley
Can't remember where I read it but the BMW was the best selling hyper bike in the world for 2017 and/ or 2018. I'll see if I can find it but it makes sense.
Each HP equals 1 kilo. So it stands to reason that since it is down like 70 hp it saves 70 kilograms over the rest and has to be the lightest.
I just can't get over the looks of the new one. I'm sure it's better/faster/stronger, or whatever, but the old model was so iconic and just looked batshit.
I had a hot-rodded '94 CBR900RR that when faster than that R1. They must have ridden it with a small parachute deployed.
Are those HP and torque curves? How are all the HP curves basically the same since it's a mathematical function of torque and that graph looks like a plate of spaghetti?
So the Italians get to see the RRW shootout before we do? JU to the courtesy phone please. Thought that looked like Willow or Chuckwalla.
Power matters less when accelerating from zero. If you have a grabby clutch, or the bike trying to flip over, the extra power isn't going to help you.
