All this talk about tire carts - the tipke is nice but maybe too nice for me. I used to use a harbor freight hand truck - <$30 https://www.harborfreight.com/19-in-x-29-in-folding-platform-truck-62211.html With the hecticness of race weekends - getting the tires back and for, lines at the vendors, I just bought a manual tire changer. It only takes a few minutes, has made things easier for me - especially with our local vendors now charging to flip tires. Due to logistics, having a local shop charge $200 to mount 2 tires, I bought a manual changer that day - wish I had it years before. http://forums.13x.com/index.php?threads/the-local-dealers-really-make-it-hard-sometimes.352535/ http://forums.13x.com/index.php?threads/no-mar-tire-changer.320355/ https://www.nomartirechanger.com/Cycle_Hill_Tire_Changer_p/tc-ch100.htm I use harbor freights wheel balancer.
I have the same one, and the whole hitch assembly to tow it with my Grom. Love it!! The Ebay Tipke one is totally worth it IMO.
i will have to get a quote on that but i assume not really cheap... i could make a trip to the races and have them distributed through the community (for the southeast at least)
Well, seeing a headline "Tire Cart Group buy, whos in", compared to "where do I get a tire cart" that is 5 pages deep... If we need more head count to make the cost lower... Just sayin. I believe I have been here since 2006, but annoying the beebs regularly for the past 2 years..
That's a totally reasonable and lucid response. Which is why it won't happen.... But for real when Phil gets some solid info I'm sure he'll start a new thread, maybe.
Not enough range to go back and forth from my pit to the tire guy and still get me to bbq. I'll stick with my ICE powered cart. I dont care how much the govt subsidizes them. Plus when I get drunk and forget to plug it in then I have no cart. So screw you for even suggesting electric carts.
