It's a couple inches of snow and maybe a little ice. The region it's hitting is plains and midwest. We are all used to this crap.
already canceled schools here and there's enough salt and brine on the roads that your car starts to rust after 1 mile. I bet we get nothing.
We got a foot last week, another 8 inches yesterday and will prolly get another 6-8 tomorrow. More of the same. Nothing to see here.
Guess I'll head into work early tomorrow to avoid traffic(it's supposed to start snowing about 3am and go until 6pm) and leave early too.
The last storm was the worst yet this winter. I had about 3" on the driveway when I left for work. When I got home, I saw that my neighbor had shoveled around her car and also did her door walkway and mine. I drove up to my mailbox a few times to lay down some tire tracks. (Telling the mailman he won't get stuck) I texted thank you to my neighbor and told her not to bother with the next storm. We'll get another couple of inches, then the temps are going to the high 40's. It should be melted by the time I get home from work.
Government and schools closed here. It will be snow then messy and probably some ice. It is the ice possibility that makes this not a bad decision.
