  1. I’ve hung out with him a few weekends at the track, the guys cool as hell.

I don't think that whoever owns it has any bearing on the situation. I was not aware of any feuds with MotoAmerica, so why would whoever owns the 200 withhold it from anyone who wanted to run the race?

He's actually come out to an Endurance race. GNF one year I think.

Totally agree it shouldn't, no clue if it does or not. I think the main issue is as always money and safety.

I don't think so. Last year Debise ran a 1:49, remember ASRA is 115% so that puts it at 2:05.3 That is a pace that should be attainable for any expert racer who has more than a handful of laps around Daytona. Even a 1:48.0 would put the cutoff around 2:04.

I know how hard I have to ride to do 1:59's, and to see those guys below the 1:50 mark is un-fucking real to me- and I'm sure Josh will be right there with them.

Assuming these times are correct then anyone that should legitimately be out there should have no issues... I think my first time there in my first full year of racing I ran a high 2:03 and was around mid pack in the amateurs.

Bet we’ll see Sean Dylan Kelly and Debise.. maybe Jake Lewis since he ran a 600 there at ROC. Probably Jody Barry too

Shane Narbonne will be down there for the dirt track. No reason why he wouldn't do the double.

Lol a few folks keep saying it's irrelevant and nobody wants to do it yet every year people show up. Remember the dudes from New Zealand? There is no other motorcycle race like it anywhere on Earth.

Enough cash and people without contracts will show.

If you offer CASH to finish in 15 plus spots and a Rolex bonus then hell yes it's a pro race. If the paid racers don't show up it's because their contract says no. Simple as that
