I'm basically looking for professionals that use handheld cut-off machines in various applications (concrete, rebar, whatever else) of construction that might be interested in testing some cut-off machines for me. Can't provide many details on a public forum, but PM me for details. I'd prefer to stick with warmer states and preferably in or near bigger cities, and also someone that uses these types of machines often.
Lol...well I just figured that'd give me the highest chance, but if someone's using that stuff daily/weekly even during the winter in colder places, I'm fine with that. Just figured construction slows down a bit in places where it's crazy cold this time of year
I used this for cutting some 2" 8620 alloy steel rod, I'm really impressed how well these metal saws work, it went thru the rod in about 5 seconds with a nice clean square cut. Dewalt makes a similar version in 14" but the table is flimsy by comparison. I'm curious what the OP has.
I have the 14" Dewalt version, I took all of the table top guides off. I mainly use it to cut masonry, some smaller steel pieces. I have a 14" Stihl gas powered saw for handheld use. I tried about all the gas powered saws, I don't see any of them holding up like a Stihl does.
