If you think trying to enforce the laws on immigration is wrong?

    You're a Racist. There, I said it.
If they were nearly all caucasians in caravans trying to cross and seek asylum in masses- would it still be wrong to enforce the immigration laws?
OF COURSE WE SHOULD ENFORCE THE LAWS THEN TOO!

But once for it, now Demoncraps like Schmucker and Prozac Pelosi, and countless other Sad for and Excuse to be Humans say it's racist because Trump wants it enforced.

People, if things don't change soon- we're 'effed. I'm talking Armageddon. If these sleeve ball, scum sucking shits get any more power in DC- I say Revolution! Just like the COTUS was meant to be- when the Fed Govt gets too out of control- it is MY/OUR right to revolt for our civil rights!

MANY of us still stand behind the POTUS- the best I've had in my lifetime!

If you support, and/or vote for any candidate that is on this 'Everything against POTUS' bandwagon-

Some of the folks that detest illegal immigration the most are......MEXICANS that legally immigrated to this country through the proper channels. They must be racist, yeah?

How many circle jerk threads are you going to start? Dude, this forum is 99.99% hard right wing peeps. You're just sounding off in an echo chamber with no chance of any sort of serious conversation or input from anyone than thinks different.

I'm very open to other opinions. This forum (for the most part) is not. Because you (royal) want a wall, I don't call you a racist. But someone in the other thread said that if you don't want a wall, you're un-American. I'm for border security, I'm for strong immigration laws, I'm for kicking out people that are not respecting being here...etc. I'm simply not for a wall for the length of the border. Are there places for a wall, of course? That makes me an un-American, commie. socialist, tree-hugger.

So, in the end, I don't believe that anyone's opinion will be changed on this forum and starting this type of thread, just like his other one from yesterday (?) is just screaming into an echo chamber.

I support a wall. I have read what you have posted, and, IMHO, you have failed to make a case not to build one. Does that make me "hard right wing" (your words)? Not really. Are you more moderate? Maybe.

I'm curious. Why are you against a wall that will aid border patrol to prevent everything you claim you are against?

That makes no sense. What would you propose instead of a wall, and how would a wall NOT help virtually any other method? You dems act like we're going to build a wall and walk away. No. The wall will be equipped with cameras, lights, sensors, etc and will be constantly patrolled and monitored. It will serve as a choke point for all traffic and will enable much more efficient and effective direction of our border patrol. They'll know exactly where and when a breach or potential breach occurs and will be able to respond instead of just wandering around like they do right now.

Do you have a fence around your yard? Why? Wouldn't it be easier to just stand in the backyard and monitor your dog 24/7? You could probably put up some cameras and sensors to help. Maybe you could wait until your dog has run off, been taken in by another family, possibly impregnated a few other neighborhood dogs, dug through some trash cans, torn up some gardens, and caused general mayhem. How much more expensive would it be to fix all of that then it would to have just build the stupid fence in the first place?

Logic escapes them man. Your are wasting your breathe...or in this case, keystrokes. Explaining this to a pre schooler would be easier.
Your backyard analogy was spot on by the way.

There are a couple of reasons I'm against the wall. The main one is that I don't think it will be that effective. The other part is the cost. To me, the wall is directly comparable to this stupid train to nowhere that Gov. Brown got going. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/12/californias-77-billion-high-speed-rail-project-is-in-trouble.html Would this train help some people? Sure. Did the budget start at something reasonable? Maybe. Is it going off the rails (come on, that's funny)? Absolutely. So, I think they have similarities.

What specifics have been told about how this wall will be built, maintained, staffed, type of additional security measures...etc? We were told that Mexico would pay for it. People on this forum have written it off as they knew it was rhetoric and don't care how it gets paid for or you have to build it to see if it works (just like the train to nowhere). I simply don't agree with this line of thinking (nor do I agree with the hypocrisy compared to other issues in gov't).

Are people against the wall simply because they don't want Trump to get a win, absolutely. Do I hate Trump, yes. Does that mean I don't want him to get a win. Nope. If he does things that I agree with or I think are reasonable and better for the nation, then get it done.

So....tell me the other details and address what I feel are more important things in regards to immigration. This most certainly isn't something to shut the government down over (ya, I know fuck the gov't workers even though this wall will create more of them).

There's an example of the "us vs them" that I'm talking about on this forum.

  14. Spang308

    Spang308 Well-Known Member

It's clearly us vs. them. The "Us" gets it. The "them" doesn't. When presented with clear logic, the "them" is a deer in headlights. It's frustrating to constantly try to explain simple concepts to "them".

There's no reason to think it'll be any different than all the walls already in existence (you know, roughly 25% of the border already has walls, right?). And they're VERY effective. As for Mexico paying for it - even if they don't directly write checks to the contractors, they WILL pay for it in either foreign aid payment reductions, or by having to take care of their own people instead of sending them to us.

Ok train to nowhere is funded by who?
The wall is funded by the American people taxes.
Which is already being given to other countries in foreign aid.
So why is a country already in debt giving billions to other countries as foreign aid?
So your comparison is not a good one.
And as someone else pointed out we have parts already with wall at border.
Trump is keeping his campaign promises.
And as i live in Texas i know a little about illegals and what effects they have.

Of course a wall, just by itself, won't work. It is meant to delay and/or deter until the BP can deal with the trespassers. Why is this hard to understand? When all they have to do is walk across the border it encourages illegal immigration. Sure the Rio Grande river (really, not much more than a creek) and some of the deserts serve the same purpose so why not enhance those features? If it was up to me it would incorporate a shit ton of razor wire as well...that stuff will discourage a hell of a lot of folks!

Great walls I see in those photos. I see a guard shack and 4 car garage that I'm super jealous of.

man talk about a terrible meme.

sure, human invaders are exactly the same as the 300+ million guns already on the street and a law on paper equals a physical wall.

I know you could have found a better one than that. :)
