I have a friend who is trying to translate an old letter from his wife’s grand parents as a present to her. It is written in polish and he needs it translated, anybody out there that could help?
Google does. Load the Google Translator app on your phone. It uses the camera to see the image and will translate. Used it a lot in Europe with menus.
I can but old/official Polish lanuage and what I can speak and read are two different things. This is probably why Google translate didn't work. I'm sure there are services out there that can help. Wouldn't think it would be too spendy.

Polish/American societies in larger towns. Perhaps find a 'little old lady' that would relish the task?
Reminds me. I was at a trade show in Charlotte, probably 15 years or so ago. There was a Polish girl there working for the catering company at the convention center. Very beautiful. We talked for a while. The thought crossed my mind, get this girl and just disappear. Bummer.
Email sent and a big thanks in advance! A number of other attempts fizzled out but yet again the BEEB delivers!
There was a Polish stripper named Wanda at Clancy's A Go-Go in Norfolk VA in 1991-2. She broke my heart. Dem legs, doe.
