My siblings were kids of the 50's, I'm from '60. Didn't happen in out house.

 

Watched it too....you know, for the most part i agree with that youtubers message, but god damn i wanna punch him in the face cuz of his delivery and accent.

 

Not everyone was hateful just as most people are not now. It was institutionally accepted then way to often. Just as it is becoming again.

No not family but I do believe that institutions are tolerating it again. Universities for instance are incredibly bigoted hell holes ironically just as they were in the 50's. Thankfully I think police are not relapsing into a new wave for discrimination. The military is awesome on being the same to everyone. Sadly the worst bigots are in education though big business is getting sucked in as is 'entertainment' IMO.

But thankfully I believe most Americans treat other people based upon that persons actions not some irrational standard.
