Agreed - but that's the point of the heirloom thing, don't care what the watch itself is worth but it does need to be something semi special - something a basic digital will never achieve.

Wrong. My dad's digital 1980's Seiko is the definition of what heritage is to me.

Does this count as an Heirloom, I got it for my 12th birthday (1972)...

That thing is dope! You won’t retire off it but it’s cool as fuck.

Awesome example of why the value of a watch is more about what it is than what it’s worth.

    That is in great shape.
Don't have anyone polish the case. Ever

It's a great watch in great shape, and there are a lot of seiko fans (myself included) that would be willing to pay quite a bit for that watch. If you do want to sell it, let me know

Picked up a Maranez Layan the other day. I'm really digging it. I'm loving the way the brass is aging. It was highly polished when I got it. There's something very cool about aged/tarnished brass that will give it an old school nautical look. Some features are: automatic movement, 300m water resistant, lumed hands & numbers, California style dial, screw down crown, and 2 straps; leather & rubber.

Don't worry about it, I did a similar thing in this thread a few years ago lol.

Will do! I've got another watch coming tomorrow, a Helberg CH8. I'll make sure to get that one right!

Not as cool as Britt 's, but here's one from the mid 80s.

I always likes the Nixon wood watches. For a non-traditional looking watch, they are pretty cool.
