What do you folks do to clean your riding gear after a long sweaty day of riding?
All my gear was soaked after riding today, and Im sure it will smell like ass after drying out.
Should I run it through the shower, and hang to dry?
I use to never think about this, but Im older now,and don't want to smell like a goat.:)
Will soaking my gear in water hurt it?

    FZ1guy Hey...watch this

It didn't hurt the leather to leave the cow out in the rain.
    Water won't hurt it.

No, but it won't do much for the smell. Use some soap, too.

I washed them in the washer on gentle.
Got them laying in guest room with a fan blowing on them.
    Will start applying mink oil.
    Thanks for the reply :)

Also, turn them inside & out several times during the drying process. Will help with the stiffness.

If you 'don't want to smell like a goat', mink oil might not be the ideal choice for conditioning your leathers. Maybe consider Lexol...

no matter what ya do, clean or not clean... ya can't leave leathers, helmet, etc. in the trailer, or zipped up in a bag for that matter. Don't do it !
get that stuff inside, in the AC at minimum. if allowed, put on guest bed with a ceiling fan or similar blowing on em too until totally dry. You can get wet-suit dryers for under $80 i think. i got 2 of em from Miles at Street n' Comp off his truck.
If you can swing it, have 2 (or more) of everything. rotate throughout the day..

Anybody know anything about that waterhole? You see the ladder on the left and it appears to disappear into the depth and it looks as though the center is fairly deep. What the heck is the purpose of it?
