Got a "free" 2000 YZ 80 with bad motor (bottom end is junk).

Looking for a cheap replacement and/or info on other motors that may bolt in?

    Thanks

Pretty much any YZ80/85 motor should bolt in if we're talking liquid cooled. There is a bottom end on eBay for $300, complete motors in the $600 to $700 range. What failed on this one?

According to the guy who has it, crank is junk - I'm assuming cases as well. Top end is off it, said the cylinder is bad too.

Figured If I could source a cheap motor to stick in it, could use as a pit bike til the lil one is big enough to start learning to ride possibly.

Are you still looking for this? I have a YZ80 motor that a mechanic sourced for me (it was refreshed by a motor builder, Darcy) to put in a YSR50 before he realized ow much effort that would be to do. PM me if you are interested and I'll get more info on it for you. I have an exhaust for it also.
