I spent a fair bit of time racing endurance back in the late 80s & 90s, usually in lightweight and middleweight and I don't recall being used as a berm by the fast guys on big bikes coming through.

And as has been said many times in this thread, when he's that much faster than everyone else, there's no need to be making those kind of passes. He could easily have waited a corner or two and made a much cleaner pass without ramming into the rider he's passing and in the end, costing himself a bunch of points!
