ole gal was the first bike I built when I turned pro in 2002. She has been one hell of a good ride and still is competitive today in the right conditions. C&J Frame R6 forks Penske Shock PM wheels 505Cc Should be done within the month. Still have to build exhaust and redo a few other things that have been worn over the years.....
I'm REALLY bad about not selling stuff... I'll never sell the following bikes I've built/bought/hunted down. One day I'll post my collection. It's not Boccarp level but I'm happy about it. I'll never sell these: C&J Rotax 2014 675 (Claire) 1969 Trackmaster Triumph 1970 Trackmaster Factory BSA A-70 (Ted Hubbard) 1972 Trackmaster Norton Commando 2009 675 Formula Extreme 1974 Norton Commando Dunstall Ktm factory 560 SMR HMC THere are several others also, including my 67 Chevelle SS, 1960 Impala (Big Rhonda), and my 79 F250 Camper Trailer Special But the Rotax will be buried with me. I actually have 3-4 of them in various builds but this is my first and favorite.
Funny story about the Trackmaster Bikes. For those that don't know, Trackmaster was to flat track frames is what Kalex/suter is to Moto2. I love the British classics and always wanted one of each. The Triumph was originally built by my good friend/machinist mentor Walt Metzler. I rode it and won many races on it then in Ohio one event I broke the crank in half. Lol he was disgusted and sold it to me on the deal that I'd never sell it to anyone but him. The BSA was a really cool story. I found it from my dads friend and ex factory BSA mechanic Ted Hubbard (who was like the Stamboli of the 60's). He had it from when the factory quit racing and I drove with my mom to NC before he passed and bought it. Literally was in the movie on any Sunday ridden and crashed by Jim rice. still have the original tank/seat in factory colors. Took it back, cleaned it up and checked it over and took it to Ohio and let my buddy Dave Aldana ride it. He proceeded to blow the fucker up. I've ridden it a few times but it mainly just sits. The norton is my baby. Trackmaster made like 5 of these for norton motors since they were a lot more complicated due to the separate trans and engine. Anyways,I found this one in Washington state. Came with a fucking straight out of the 70's paint job. I didn't have the heart to chance messing that paint job up so I have it on display now. Anyways, I'm bored at dinner so I hope y'all like reading about it.
The really cool thing about the internet is it allows you to post these things called PICTURES to go along with descriptions.
I wondered where Ted's A-70 went. Glad to see it went to someone who knows how to use it, rather than have it sit in someone's basement gathering dust.
