I like mob movies. All the way back to White Heat. But the Godfather movies are overrated, overly long and slow. And I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Blues Brothers Kelley's Heroes The Taking of the Pelham 123 Dirty Dozen Miracle on 34th Street A Christmas Carol She Wore a Yellow Ribbon True Grit Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry Rodan 12 O'Clock High On Her Majesty's Secret Service Bad News Bears Animal House Casablanca The African Queen The King and I The Man who would be King Westworld Easy Rider Gone in 60 Seconds Incredible Journey Run Silent, Run Deep (and you'll never need to watch another submarine movie) The Sand Pebbles Deliverance
I saw it at age 13, drunk as *V{<!, sitting on the oak branch which overhung the drive-in wall And puked. Dunno if it was the flying thing, swimming pool, or the Jack Daniels. Ima guess the Jack.
No,youre not the only one. The godfather movies put me to sleep, they are so long, slow and drawn out......then all that slow jazzy sounding music. Pure snoozefest
My Man PJ NAILS IT!!! Also Dog Day Afternoon One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest And all the James Bond movies with Sean Connery Mad Max Star Wars Jaws Outlaw Josey Wales Every Which Way But Loose Godfather Rooster Cogburn Dirty Harry Saturday Night Fever (the music is timeless and defined an era) Midway American Graffiti Airplane Towering Inferno and all the 70's disaster movies King Kong Rocky
Seven pages and no Chinatown? Holy shit. Wait, what? If not the aforementioned Twelve Angry Men, then certainly Grapes Of Wrath. No accounting for taste I guess.
