Daytona 2017

Just the opposite.

I'd gladly pay for proper announcing and coverage like I do for MotoGP and WSBK.

That "stream" and coverage was beyond a joke. It was beyond embarrassing, it made the race unwatchable. Why sugarcoat it?

Good race. Don't get why Cory felt the need to lead coming out of the chicane. Nobody ever wants to lead coming out of that chicane unless you have at least a second lead.

 

Amazing race. Dogfight the whole time.

Apparently Farrell fender blew off and he got pulled over and that is how he lost alot of time.

That's why he was able to go without pitting for so long.

I gotta' admit, despite the red flags and the technical issues that was a pretty good race. Congrats Danny!

I thought he was referring to Patricia Fernandez (?) who was in the race.

 

He said after that he didn't think he'd have the motor to draft slick at the end and he thought his only shot was to lead.

 

Radio. We had radios at TOBC for the endurance races. It was probably helpful for the 200.

 

Damn, I got frustrated with all the reds...left the computer for a break...tended to the grandkids, when I got back it was over......

 

They should have told him he was pushing his luck and was about to run out of fuel.

 

Daytona is always a good practice run to get us ready for race season. Those crusty announcers, makes us appreciate professional televised events. I dont care if some of the racing wasnt great. I will always watch a roadrace if its on. Better than anything else on TV. Textbook by Eslick.
