Ok, I see. It's an 89, I believe suzuki didn't change anything other than BNG until 2004 on that model. Thanks for your reply.

El Skwid! Old guy, old bikes

By definition, 6 MW would include bump ups from 6 LW, & or V5.
When would this class fit on the schedule? Sunday with one of the D's?

Thinking Saturday - wouldn't be a bump up from 5 since there are some bigger bikes in there I believe so maybe with V5/V3?

I have enough problems filling HW Twins grids as it is - having a class for only old ones would be too empty :D

Possibly twins (hawk, duc750, any others?) up to 750cc lc/800cc ac of the appropriate vintage?

I'm going to find a rulebook from the proper year and go C Superbike rules I think.

Not running it on Sundays, it'll be a "Saturday" class running with V4 & Formula 2-stroke.

I think you should go with C production rules from the 1990 rulebook.

Vintage classes are whatever you say they are. I think a production class is the way to go. No fancy pipes or different front ends or motor swaps or anything. There are plenty of older FZR and CBR that still have stock pipes on them and there are plenty of stack pieces available. Lets have it be production. After all, I was the 89 or 90 SE region C Production champion on my 87 Hurricane. I had a Fox shock and errythang.

I haven't seen a bike old or new with a stock pipe on it since we got rid of production classes... Even then it was only the Novices :D

Superbike is easy. Production leads to much consternation and contention and angry people and finger waving and pointing and . . . . Why oh why can't we all just get along? I mean, who wants to deal with angry people that argue about the most mundane things?

    Cheers,

I have stock pipes on a couple of my FZ600s. they're out there, but SS rules would be OK
