looks like vote in the UK to leave or stay in the EU is closer than expected so far
The futures market isn't responding well to it

Anyone else see Brexit and start singing. "Should I stay or should I go" by the clash.

My tin foil hat friends say it's time to stock up on some more bullets, provision the boat and get ready to head offshore cause the shit is going to hit the fan. Markets are already tanking, precious metals are shooting up. Things that make you go hmmm. Could be an interesting summer....we'll see.

"tanking"...."shooting up"....5-7% changes (so far) don't deserve such adjectives, especially when it buys UK freedom. much driven by the fact folks were hedging against it....ie were wrong, not that real value changed significantly. if you are a trader, this might hurt. if you are an investor, it's just another ripple. life goes on.

He claims this is just the beginning. The tin foil on his hat is several layers thicker than on mine. I needed to go shopping anyway and I'm always up for a good sailing trip!:D

Well, looks like France, Greece, Spain and the rest of the euro leeches will have to find someone else's money to support themselves. Hey Germany, we need another trillion euros while we send a few hundred thousand "refugees."

Fuck the markets. Its a great day. Nationalism and Britons have won out over neoliberal globalists. Brings a tear to my eye.

As people begin to see their interests neglected by the political elite, the culture destroyed by the importation of cheap labor, and their concerns ignored, they may lash out. Go figure. You can only call the disenfranchised "racist" or "xenophobic" so many times before they begin to actually be that thing and take action.

The EU has been dismissive of its critics and lumped them in with the hate mongers and racists. That has arguably only exacerbated the belief that the UK was in an unhealthy relationship with Europe that needed to change. Everyone thought that British people would tolerate it forever but they thought wrong.

People are tired of having the cock of globalization shoved up their ass without the benefit of a reach around. Expect more.

I think it just shows that people are fed up with "self proclaimed elitists telling people what to do." Hasn't worked well for Britain and it isn't working well for us. The British woke up, will we?

    Is the UK Bizarro Land?

Or do I have this all messed up, the PM appears to be in disagreement with the vote and as a result is stepping down, I see he belongs to the 'Conservative' Party......is that the opposite of ours? o_O

Were they for staying in it, whereas the Liberals wanted to break away from the EU???

Ok thanks......but the whole Brexit vote.....is it also a conservative vs Liberal issue or no?

I guess it depends on who you ask but in my opinion it is not. Maybe more of a nationalist vs globalist would be a better comparison.

It was just good to see that there were enough people in the UK that understood that the long term gain would make some short term negativity worthwhile. I wonder if the Gemans will wake up in time and boot Merkel and the EU before their country is completely destroyed.
