Aren't they just TTR125 copies? The guy I was supposed to buy the XR from flaked on me and I had to do a paypal dispute to get my money back..

Anyways. What's the word on them? How hard is it to find wheels also.

Dickerson was riding a DRZ this past weekeend and I believe it was a 125. I believe he purchased it from Merck, who had it setup pretty nice. It has 17" wheels on it with slicks.

Yeah Merck is a Suzuki guy so that makes sense. I just want it for some flat track practice and for the kart track over here. There is one near me for cheap. It has a 16 inch rear though.

what's wrong with the 16" rear? i changed the front from a 17" to a 16" on mine. i just rode mine really for the first time this past weekend. it is slow as hell but fun. lol..

Oh nothing at all. It's the front that will give me issues. Because it comes with a 19 inch front. The smaller bike comes with a 17 inch front so I guess I could go that route.

If you want cheap, just run bt45s on the 16/19 setup.
The 17 on the other bike would be to skinny for a slick anyway. If you want to go with 17s run slicks and rimsvthat are 2.5 front and 3 rear.

Well I picked it up. And thanks to a dirty pilot. It cost me $300. Has the 19 inch front but you are saying I can't find the 17" smaller front rim and run a 17/16 ? Why would it be too narrow? I want to run the BT45 on those rims.

Actually looking up the front rim both the 19 and the 17 front are 1.40 rims. So I should be good.

    I run BT45s on a 17/16 TT-R 125, works just fine.

Cool. Maybe lowering the forks some will even it out a little. Did you just get the TTR125 non L version tire in the front?

Nope, non L TTR125 uses a drum brake up front. I opted initially to fit a YZ85 wheel with cut down spacers and a milled (ok I used a hack saw) caliper bracket to account for the altered rotor offset. I'm now running a full YZ85 inverted front end. If my memory is correct, I *think* a 17" RM85 wheel is a drop in replacement for your 19" DRZ125 wheel? Just checked, same PN for the hubs, go RM85 front wheel.

So of A!! Now I gotta go look at the non L version and see if its a disc. I'll go do some research.

Yep, RM85 2005 and up will bolt right up. Good because they are cheaper than the DRZ ones. Thanks!

Yeah, I dunno why by RM85 bits are CHEAP. Forks, wheels, it's all CHEAP used.

What tires would be good to try and run on a 17 by 1.40 front and a 16 by 1.60 rear?

    110/80-17 up front
    110/90-16 in back

    V compound BT45

I looked at those, but they say 2.15 minimum rim size.
