Thanks for the responses guys. I figured that was the answer was a new head unit, but I admit that I was hoping to avoid spending the $. Not to mention that I don't have the time to do the install any time soon. I'm sure I'll go this route when the time comes to deal with it.
I went to the local stereo shop and had the radio replaced with their cheap JVC or Pioneer head unit. It was between $100-125 on each truck I've done it with, installed. This was to get working radios for my tech's, so I didn't really pay attention to spec's, but they sounded fine to me.
