Shoei has teamed up with Transitions Optical, the industry leader of photochromic technology to produce a self-tinting shield of their own for the RF-1200 helmets.

Tinted on the left, clear on the right.

Will it fit an RF1100?

 

It only fits the RF-1200

 

You said it is Pinlock ready, but I'm assuming it doesn't come with an insert?

 

I wish arai would come out with this....

 

The shields do not come with pinlock inserts however they are available.

That said we are out of stock on the shield for about 2 more weeks.

Sounds good. All of the feedback we've had so far (selling over 100 of these) has been positive. They are a bit more money than a standard smoked visor, but the flexibility of use makes it worth while.

 

I love the transition lenses in my glasses. This would fill in the gaps everywhere else.

I thought the x-12 was using the same shield as the 1200?? I know I read that somewhere.. maybe i'm mistaken

 

The X-12 uses the CW-1 shield (same as the RF-1100). The new X-14 should be using the CWR-1 shield like the RF-1200.
