I have been looking for the last two days for a big bore kit for my KTM 690 Duke. It is currently legal in Clubman, DSS and DSB. The ONLY big bore kit that I can find is 796cc. Rulebook states unlimited singles in Clubman but has a 775cc limit in the D classes. I am curious as to the origin of that rule. I don't recall previously seeing or hearing of anyone building a single bigger than 775cc. And if any of you know someone that would build me a 775cc please let me know.
Only single I can think of in that range is the DR800- 779cc's. Curious to hear what prompted that 775 limit as well.
That is a big ass single!! The only 796 I would worry about in D would be the Monster. That thing has to kick ass huh?
any single at 776cc or above will vibrate your dick off and Sean doesn't want to have to walk around the track picking up dicks after the race.
They already are. Just twins. Not singles. 796 Monsters, 800 SS Ducatis Either of which can be built to over 100hp. I am just trying to do something different.
OK. I did laugh. Then I got defensive. And then I left air cooling and water cooling out of my rebuttal. But I am still curious as to the origin of the rule. You know it would have been far easier for me to have done the Ducati approach and probably gone faster but I wanted a bike for DSS, DSB and Clubman. And the KTM is alot of fun to ride. And it is different. Which appeals to me.
My KTM has a counter balancer. It does not vibrate your dick off. Just your balls. And they roll off the track by themselves.
Well he better hope Wheel Bearing doesn't race a single because if he has to pick up that sumbitchs hoo hah he'll have to use both hands. Might even have to drape it over his shoulder.
