Was thinking of using a busted rim for a garden hose reel, has anybody made one before and got any tips to keep the ghetto factor down?
Yeah, go to Lowes and buy a real one If it is a car steel rim put on a plastic hubcap. Either way, paint it a colour that matches the trim on your house, whether it is a bike or aluminum car rim.
Ha the kids are in luck it would be around the side. From what Ive seen hardware stores have mostly plasticky crap and the reuse/Diy part has some appeal.
Put it on top of the old washing machine next to the Impala on blocks. Should fit right in. Don't forget to put christmas lights on it come July.
I've got an old PM Chicane from a Team Hammer bike as my air hose reel in the basement, just put it on the wall with some drywall screws into studs around the lip and it's been good to go for more than 12 years.
Make sure its a chrome rim attached to a chrome extended swingarm. I actually want to make an air hose real for my shop out of a front wheel attached to a set of forks that are bolted to the floor, upside down.
I use an old 16" Interceptor rim as an air hose real. I just mounted it to the compressor so I don't have to loop the hose around the handle. I just drilled a couple of holes in the shroud around the compressor and bolted into the disc mounting holes.
Use a brand new 16.5 Mag wheel (cast or forged) We a few few in the warehouse, if you can't locate any.
I like sexual things in my garden to look at. As I cannot work due to back issues, I need as much around me to fill in a day as positively as I can.
