Followed me home the other night.... guess I'll have to keep her. Forgot how intoxicating the Duc's lazy v-twin power and booming exhaust were. Going to leave it mostly stock for a while, need rear sets as the stock oem are slippery, and I prefer GP shift. Suspension mods and upgrade ideas are appreciated. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Kickass! Did you order a bar whip too? I'd love to have one of those. I'm hoping they come out with a middleweight version. For real mods, on a streetbike, I keep it basic anymore. Slip-ons, fuel tuner, get rid of the mudflap, etc. Just to clean it up. Has Ducati gone to the BPF crap yet or do you have normal forks?
My pit scooter is literally a scooter.... A go ped. I wouldn't mind picking up a something a little more functional.
Yeah, mudflap needs to go, would love a termi system but holy shit are they pricy. This one has abs, and the quick shifter is sublime. The front suspension is "normal", but I understand its the first production Bike to use aluminum fork tubes. The sales manager told me that, I haven't researched that myself however.
Very nice. Now you just need to take it for a little ride: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=808437
If you are accustomed to GP shift and this bike doesn't have it, do yourself a favor and get some rearsets now.. as in don't ride it until you get some installed. You'll only remember that this bike has the stock shift pattern until you forget. Slipper or no, dumping a pretty new bike into 1st gear at 50+ mph will result in a very heart breaking crash. Ask me how I know.
03 crf 450. Motor stock. Excel 17s, reworked suspension. Nothing too special. Yeah, went to GP cycles today and picked up the reverse quick shifter. Shifting standard isn't that big of a deal because of the motard. Thanks for the compliment guys, she's a blast. The brakes are phenomenal They felt a little soft in the showroom but damn, one finger is all you need.
