Springfield Armory XDS is a really nice ccw .45 that shoots amazingly well for being so small. FNP .45 Tactical is another nice .45 I liked.

SpeedyE Experimental prototype, never meant for production

    FN
I grew up on 1911's....it's what I know. First time shooting the FN
Softest shooting 45 ever fired, and incredibly accurate out-of-the-box.
You can make a 1911 super accurate, but for a combat pistol this thing shot awesome.
    Best 45 ever.

W/out a doubt, the Beretta 92 should be shit-boxed by the Mil and should be replaced by the FN. It is that good.

Guy that I work with has an XD 45. Nice shootin' gun. Have also rented a Glock 30 at local range. Liked it too. I guess it depends on what you're gonna do with it; carry, home defense, range run, or just another one in the collection.

Carry and range mostly. For home defense I have a few other options.

One of the CC in my rotation is the Glock 36, pretty sweet gun.

A month or so ago, I went shooting with a couple buddies....
One guy had his $1200 Springfield 1911
The other guy had a Citadel 1911 & XDS
    Me- XDS.

I'd never shot a 1911 prior to this range visit. I was completely underwhelmed by both 1911's, with there being little to no difference between the 2, with the Springfield costing more than double the Citadel. Even more shocking, & both other guys agreed, was the XDS absorbed the recoil better than both of the bigger framed guns. It was incredible. I had to shoot them both back-to-back 3-4 times, I was in such disbelief.

    Pretty incredible little pistol.

love my 1911 but also have a glock in 45 that I like.

I shoot 45's pretty well but prefer the 1911 for fun shooting, but the glock is nice because you have more shots.

I have the P345 and love it. Shoots well, doesn't jam but it's a pretty big gun.

XDs, Glock 36, Kahr PM45. I'm thinkin' about picking up a FNX 45 to go with my .40. Love that gun, just doesn't conceal as well as my 19.

I have a s&w mp 45 and it is pretty damn nice for the money. If I could buy any one I want right now though, i'd go for an HK 45. Best hand gun I've ever fired.

Love that gun. My buddy has one and he let me take it to the range when I was doing some CCW options searching. I couldn't believe how easy of a shooter it was, especially for a .45acp.

    Agreed
. I haven't shot anything that makes me want to sell my mid-90s P220... Soft shooting, perfect balance in hand, easy to carry, it's great!
