rear brake? ive seen thumb-brake setups, but not an additional lever

 

It appears to look like the left side has the throttle, front brake, and clutch all together. Possibly the rider has an injury that prevents him from using his right hand for these functions. I really have no idea, just an assumption.

 

Brakes homie...He has limited use of the right arm.

How not to wheelie!!! this was in the kink at barber in 07, lowsided and the bike cartwheeled....

 

I must say, the bike is doing a pretty sweet wheelie by itself in that photo, at least in that frame.
