I have been asked by someone (lets call him Cevin Kalloway) to propose a new class for 2009. Why? He thinks 1. people like me 2. I have BBS cred I think he has me confused with Dave K or Buckwild (powered by Outrage). How about a Formula 3 class? This would allow V7hw bikes to run a 2nd class, and allow V7mw bikes to run a 3rd class. It would also allow V6hw bikes to run a 3rd class. it would also allow the SVs to run a 3rd or 4th class. All Two strokes TZ/RS 250/125's will be allowed as well. Formula 3: all formula 2 bikes all V6 hw bikes all V7 mw bikes all V7 hw bikes + bikes that would fit in to the would-be V8 class: F4/F4i, '98-'02 R6, ZX6R, 2nd gen GSX-R600, '96-'99 GSX-R750 Thoughts?
I think we barely have enough time in the day for our current classes - adding in another that wouldn't actually draw in new riders but would just shuffle around current riders doesn't make a lot of sense for us.
Sean, are you keeping WSS next year? We've got Fontana penciled in for January and my son's g/f might race it if you do as she seemed to have a great time doing the Afemme class at Infineon a few months ago.
Then kill all the other V classes for the bikes specified to run F3 and free up time in the schedule on Saturday.
How about just a heavyweight class? Not the bike - the rider. 220 Lbs + w/o gear, run what ya brung, Mandatory weigh in after the race, plus a pat down for bricks or other 'enhancements'
