I have decided to get a track only bike and came across a 2007 yamaha r6 with 12,000 miles for $3,000 in street trim from a private seller. Bill of sale only, I ran the vin and it came back not salvaged and not stolen. What are some key factors I should look for and how should I go about inspecting the bike. What are the "RED-FLAGS"? Is 12,00 miles too high for a trackbike? I test-rode the bike and everythings good throughout all gears, the front brake feels a little spongy compared to my 08' speed triple w/ brembos.
