Do you guys think Castrol A-747 is worth the money?

In a word, yes.
After adding up all the expenses for a weekend of racing, an extra $20 for oil is trivial.
I've tried to "race on the cheap" before, and it just doesn't work very well. And that was on old diesels, which were designed to be treated like appliances.

It sure is... Look in a Honda, Yamaha and Aprilia manual and all state to use A-747. Those boys don't mess around.
I used Motul prior to getting my ass chewed by Kevin Murray. After using 747 I find the bike is MUCH easier to jet. The piston color is better and the plug is easier to read. You get no deposits either. I used to scrape the ash from the piston top and clean hard carbon from the head with Motul. Now I just wipe it down. Even after 250 miles you can still see the machine marks on the top of the piston.
This is not to say that Motul or equivalants are not good by any means. They are. I had no mechanical problems with the other oils. I have better wear and color with Castrol.
My opinion.
