How important is suspension?

Raced last year on a 750.
This year I'm going to race 600 & 750,
for as long as I can afford it.
I've been told I can drop 2 seconds off
my lap times with a Penske shock,

of course, if you can afford it, you should get your suspension re-worked before anything else. it is the most "lap time for dollar" available. http://www.wera.com/ubb/smile.gif
