I am building a SR 500 for vintage racing.
I have not done to much so far, other than a carb & Works shocks.
Any advise?

Bob,
Did you check out the Thumper Page:
http://www.perardua.net/thumper/thumper.html
The site has good stuff for several thumpers including the SR500 and the SRX600. Did I tell you I bought Meyer's SRX? I guess all I need know is an RS125 http://www.wera.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I believe John Stauber has been running one for several years now. He would probably be your best source for info... only catch is that I don't have any contact info.
