2001 r6 track/race bike for sale. less than 12,000 miles (not all track miles). well taken care of. no title, bill of sale only (not uncommon for a dedicated track/race bike). NOT stolen. VIN number was checked before i bought it. i bought the bike as a learning tool. it has served me well and i am getting rid of it because i want to race in a different class...plus i am in school now and have no time to ride it. it is set up nicely and is pretty complete.

mods and goodies:
fresh paint
race glass (decent condition)
Braided front lines
Scotts steering damper
NRC clutch and engine covers
My-Chron Light lap timer (with beacon)
Full Hindle pipe (jetted)
Woodcraft/ CFMotorsports rearsets
Woodcraft clip-ons
Woodcraft fairing stay
Frame sliders
Penske twin clicker rear shock
Refreshened forks have four trackdays on them (Full Spectrum)
520 chain conversion
aftermarket heavier cluth springs
factory pro velocity stacks
Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil
Includes Misc. Vortex front and rear sprockets
Safety-wired for CCS/WERA
battery tender
probably more that i forgot.

i got the bike from a guy in florida who did race it pretty seriously in (i think) CCS. he said they removed everything that didn't make the bike faster or turn in quicker. so the choke assembly/cable was removed and some other things. (i put a home-made choke cable thing on it, so the choke DOES work) i think the guy said that he removed the magneto (can a bike run without one?). anyway, it's a constant drain energy system so the battery tender comes with the bike. i've never had a problem with a dead battery on this bike. it holds a full charge for a while but i typically plug the battery tender in between sessions anyway. the previous owner also said he did something to the flywheel. i'm thinking he just swapped it out for a lighter one. he said they did this to improve decel on downshifting or something like that. anyway, the bike revs pretty quickly now.

overall in pretty good shape. the only un-positive (not "bad") thing is that runs *almost* perfectly. there's a slight sputter between 6k and 9k rpm when you HOLD the throttle steady, but on the track how often are you just cruising? bike comes with a couple spare jet kits so you could play around with it if you got motivated to do so (it's never bothered me that much). i put some carb cleaner addative in the gas and it helped a little bit. maybe the carbs just need a good cleaning. anyway this thing runs like a scalded dog when you're on the gas.

kbb retail value is $4000. with no title and all the mods i am asking $3300 O.B.O.

pics below. if you'd like pics of anything specific, let me know and i will take them.
