"Section 841 requires the Commission to assess a number of factors related to wartime contracting, including the extent of waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement of wartime contracts."
C-Span has been covering the hearings and it is eye popping. It's a shame when a greedy company withholds supplies and services for our combat troops to jack up their prices. KBR is in the hot seat. Again.

Its been really informative. Playing devil's advocate there were cases where the gov moved timelines and requirements after bid. Makes it tough to remain on budget. One of the final comments by Shay was maybe contractors should take an oath. Interesting thought.

I personally know 3 "contractors" all three are American ex-military and are intelligent,
well educated , extremely skilled, and well paid...all three had to pass rigid testing to qualify for their jobs and were put in charge of [less expensive] troops from foreign countries like Uganda.
I have a feeling some of our wars wouldn't fly if American kids were getting drafted, so I guess this is one way to go...

The combat piece is a tiny part. The vast majority of contractors are supply and construction.
