What do you guys recommend using?
2 lines from the master to each caliper,
1 line to one caliper daisy chained to the next or
1 line down splits east to west

I prefer one line down splits north and south.

I like one from the master with a split in the middle. I prefer to not have the huge double banjo at the master which can break esaier.
Are the banjos really that susceptible to breaking? It seems to me if that breaks you have bigger issues to worry about. Of course I'm thinking of a wadded up bike.

2 lines or split, no diffenece, but use -2 vs. -3.
Packaging issues have more to do with the 1 or 2 lines from the master cylinder than anything else.
Actually there are some reasons to use -3 over -2.
In making a brake line, a ferrule is inserted into the Teflon line. This ferrule can be the smallest hole that brake fluid has to travel through in the system.
In a -2 line, the ferrule that fits in the Teflon line has been shown to cause a restriction in the flow of brake fluid. This was causing problems with carbon-carbon brakes, in that the brakes were not releasing as soon as the rider released pressure on the brake lever.

-3 2 lines from banjo
Methinks the OEMS are tryin to save a few bucks in changing to 1 down to right cal. then to the left.
