Looking to get a chain for my 600. Doing a 520 conversion and just need a chain. New or used doesn't matter. Looking for something not too expensive

You sure you need 120 links? Making a big move up in the tooth count on the rear or something? Reason i ask is i don't recall as of late any 600 needing a chain that long.

doing 15t front and 44t rear. I believe 120 links is what I need. That sound right?

If it's too long, take a few links off, very easy.

No ish sherlock. That's wasn't the point. It was simply an observation that he may be looking for a chain longer than needed. This ultimately could exclude him from finding a chain of shorter, but still usable length.

For instance i have a perfectly good 114 link chain. Now if he could still use this then he'd have yet another option.

To the OP..........I'm not sure what your chain length specifically needs to be for this set up. We don't even know what bike make of bike its for. The best thing to do is get a link count on your current chain. Tooth count for sprockets would be helpful as well. From this folks would be able to better assist you.

If i recall correctly a tooth up or down in the front translates to 2/3 up or down on the rear. So if you went from a 16 tooth in the front the same chain length could be used if you went with a -1 up front and a +2/3 in the rear. The more info you provide others the more helpful the could be.

I have an 07 cbr600rr. I looked up the service manual and it says the standard links in 112. The factory gearing is 16 front and 42 rear. I'm going 15 front and 44 rear. So from what your saying, I can use the same amount of links with this setup. Everywhere I look to buy a kit it always shows the chain that comes with it is 120 link for my setup. I'm assuming that they leave the part out where I would have to cut it to fit. :(

You won't go wrong with a 120 link chain. If it is a little too long you can remove a couple of links, but you will be sure to have what you need.

I have some good prices on DID ERV3 chains brand new.

Or I have a used one with 6 weekends on it for 75.00
