The Elka Ninja 250 rear shocks are finally on their way. I will have them in hand and ready to ship on Monday or Tuesday of next week. These shocks work very well consistently controlling the rear end of the bike under hyper-aggressive track and street use and are a bit less expensive than the competition.
Because these bikes only make 30 hp and 300lb Ninja 250s the requirements are a bit different than your higher horsepower and weight machines. This allowed us to create a nitrogen charged, non-emulsion shock with rebound and preload adjustibility and quality to allow rebuildibility. There are 4 different springs available to suit riders weight from 110lbs to 240lbs. To avoid a mismatch of spring rates between the front and rear, a set of fork springs of appropriate rate should be installed at the same time.
The stock forks springs on a Ninja 250 are .44 Kg/in2. I offer a set of Sonic Springs with precut spacers and extra material for $69.99 shipping included. These come in a variety of rates to suit riders' weights and riding requirements. I will install these at the track for $50 unless you have also bought a shock from me.
These shocks retail from Elka for $499. If you buy them from us, we will include free shipping or at track install. We also offer you the springs, a set of precut spacers and extra material for $50 more if you buy the shock from us at the same time you buy the shock. I also offer a $50 service where these shocks can be rebuilt or revalved for $50 this price does not include parts or shipping. At the track installs are generally by appointment only.
Thanks for your interest.

Kevin,
Do you know if Elka makes a rear shock for the EX500?
