Hi guys, my name is Melissa... I'm posting this under my boyfriend, Jared's logon cause I don't have one here myself. Jared's truck got stolen last October in Vegas (while we were attending a track day at Vegas Speedway), along with both of our bikes, all of our gear and all of our tools. They left us stranded in Vegas, with pretty much everything that we owned gone. The truck was recovered luckily, but bikes were uninsured for theft, and thanks to State Farm we got screwed for everything else that was supposed to be covered under renters insurance. After a month or so, my frame and motor was recovered, but with EVERYTHING stripped off.. down to the petty bolts...
The bike went from this...

And this is what I have right now...

So long story short, we were able to squeeze a small amount of money from State Farm, so I'm going to try to get my bike back together. What I'm asking from everyone else is if anyone has ANY 06-07 (08-09 stuff might work as well) GSXR 600/750 parts laying around that they may not want or need. I pretty much need everything... I mean EVERYTHING, wheels, tank, forks... down to pretty much ALL the bolts that the thieves decided they needed. If you have anything at all, I probably need it, haha. I'm starting from bare scratch, but luckily had kept my all my stock stuff that I had upgraded. A few people have helped us with some stuff already too.
This is the list of stuff that I have (will keep this updated as I get more too):
-Motor (need the case covers and bolts though)
-Throttle bodies
-Frame
-Swing arm
-Radiator
-Calipers
-Rider seat
-Plastics (full street set.. luckily they stole it with the fiberglass stuff)
-Mirrors
-Windscreen
-Headlight, taillight, turn signals
-Subframe
-Battery tray
-Shock linkage
-Stator cover
Things that we need (that I can think of right now):
-Whole front end (excluding calipers)
-Front wheel
-Rear wheel
-Tank
-Kickstand assembly (with mounts and all)
-Exhaust bracket (for stock exhaust)
-Ignition
-Tach
-Fairing stay
-ECU
-Wiring harness
-Bolts for water pump (they apparently only needed the bolts cause they left the water pump itself)
-Bolts for both clutch and stator covers
-Clutch cover
Things that I have OEM, but might be willing to spend some money to go aftermarket...
-Stock rear sets
-Stock master cylinder
-Stock steering damper
-Stock exhaust
-Stock shock
Thanks for anything that anyone can help with!!!
-Melissa

that sucks, wish i could help you guys out. Be careful with the motor in the bike, there`s no telling what damage they caused. Good luck and hope you guys get back out there soon.

Yea, we're definitely getting it rebuilt. (Thanks to Melissa Paris for her help with that!) I figured it wasn't worth chancing being that it sat in a dirt lot for a week without both case covers, plus I already had 25k miles on it, so it wouldn't have been too long until I got it done anyways.

I'm pretty sure, by doing some cross referencing of part #'s, that I can only use a 750 ECU. I know a few people have pm'ed about ECU's but I'm not sure if they were for a 600 or 750

I have pretty much everything that comes off a street bike to convert it to a track bike except wheels and tank.

sorry to hear that. been there too. its going to cost you more money and time than its worth to reassembly the bike from parts. you might as well sell the parts that were recovered and use that money and insurance money to buy a complete bike.

Thanks to all the responses we got most everything covered already which is pretty awesome. I "think" the only major thing we are still going to need is a tank. I have been offered a few already but would really prefer a blue one if anyone has one. Also I am going to need an ignition/ key, Thanks!

Do you still need wheels? And about the key, just bypass it. All you need is an 100 ohm resistor and a switch.

good progress you had there....this is my first time seeing this thread but there must be something going on in Vegas area. I was at Spring Mountain, Pahrump, last month and a couple of bikes got stolen from an enclosed trailer at the Saddle West Inn. There were many trailers there but they probably figured they would have time to work on getting the bikes out quicker enclosed and out of sight.

I have black gilles rearsets if interested. I also have the keyplug/key for the seat cowl, and the locking mechanism (that attaches to the subframe) and cable if you need it...

Hope the bike is treating Mel good today and tomorrow. Glad to see you got it all back together
I was gonna go this weekend if I got a bike in time, but no luck. I'll see you out there soon though.
