I have done some track days with NESBA and STT on my 1997 GSX-R750 and would like to buy a dedicated track bike so that I can get back to riding on the street without all of the tape and tire changes.
Basic requirements are fuel injection, <8,000 miles, 1-3 years old, slipper clutch (could add), straight frame, and at least as much power as I have now.
Nice to haves include shocks/fork, rearsets, front stand, stainless lines, exhaust, Power Commander (or equivalent), track plastic (no lights/mirrors necessary) and frame/case protectors.
I am not picky about brand, but I do like Suzuki and Yamaha. I am not really interested in 600s unless they have some engine upgrades.
Salvage titles and cosmetic damage are okay. I planned to spend $4000-$5000, but that will depend on model and condition.
I would like to meet somewhere in the midwest so that I can check it out before picking up. (I'm in Waterloo, IA)
