Yeas i see you point, it does not have a sign on it that says stolen.

But that doesn't mean crap.... I doubt you'll get much play here without someone vouching for you or you posting the VIN

Good Day Sir

Thanks.

Just showing you are up front & honest while selling a bike on your first post & having no title is usually a tough deal. I can run it at work on Monday. You could have just PM'd me it & I would have done it that way. Remember right now motorcycle thefts are up 2.8 TIMES what they were this time last year. That is almost triple what they were, a huge spike that is expected to continue to rise with the economy still sputtering around & downward lately. I work right in front of an investigator & vehicle thefts, bogus & actual have gone out of control. I can possibly see you being a bit unnerved by being asked for that info but welcome to the real world, the way it is NOW. We had a seller here send me some particularly nasty PM's after I asked him for that info he is no longer here. That guy's stuff had so many red flags on it I am pretty damn sure it was very hot. Your's not so much but I think me taking the time to run it will help everyone involved. You as a newbie here get an independent person to look at the number say if it is legit & whether it turned up as reported stolen. Me, I help my WERA buddies out & help possibly help scare off some people who want to use this place to fence their goods.

FWIW - you cannot look at a picture of a bike & say if it is hot. No way, it is all about circumstances, behavior & facts behind the bike and the seller. Sometimes it is a pristine bike where someone almost surgically removed a VIN & stamped a new one (quite nicely BTW) in it's place, sometimes just changed a number that is easy to change (the wrong one & now it is no longer decoding) etc. Sometimes it is a clapped out piece of junk; who'd want to sell that worthless thing there is no way it could be stolen!
Ahhh not so sometimes...

the VIN decodes properly as a 49-state 01' GSX-R 750. Unable to run the VIN to check if it's stolen. Just way too busy at work right now. NYPD should be able to do it.

Good luck with the sale
