Hate to do it, but this has got to go if I'm ever going to finish my projects :( .
'99 Ducati Monster 900. Last year of the carb'd Monster. Dry-clutch model. 30k miles (yup! An Italian machine that's covered that many miles.. amazing ;) ) Really fantastic condition. I'm the third owner; first was a 52 year old man who put ~26k miles on it, second put less than 2k. Never been down, paint is nearly flawless (one small rock chip on the tank.) Typical leaky battery syndrome has bubbled the paint on the left side engine cover. The plastic surround for the tach is chipped (pictured below.)
Has carbon fiber Leo Vinci slip-ons, carbs are jetted, open airbox mod w/K+N panel filter. Ducati performance dual gauge cluster w/white faced gauges. 14t front sprocket, new grips, Napoleon bar-end mirrors, tail-chop, aftermarket short turn signals. ~1500 miles on brand new Michelin Pilot Powers.
The Duc runs very well, especially in the 65ish degree range. It was jetted and tuned at zero elevation, and could benefit from a little tinkering to make low-speed/part-throttle riding smoother, but it's quite tolerable as is. The battery really needs to be replaced with a sealed unit to stop the leaking (it weeps out of the drain tube.) Handles phenomenoly; really tight, and the suspension is in fantastic condition. Probably due for a new rear rotor though; the current one is looking a bit too shiny.
Maintenance is all up-to-date. The valves were checked/adjusted ~4k miles ago, so they'll be due again in another 2k, along with the timing belt change (I have the new belts to go with the bike.)
