Hey guys,
This is my first post on WERA. I am on a couple of other forums and a lot of people asked me to join WERA so, here I am. Thank you for having me.
I lost my job like many Americans this past winter and now I am full time into selling racing parts. My products come under the name KrosswerX.
I sell tire warmers on eBay and am proud to say that my warmers are the cheapest warmers you can buy.
Cheap does not mean poor quality. No, on the contrary, my products are made in the same factory that some of the best warmers are made. So, why is it so cheap, well
1. Because I have no overhead .I do the marketing and Sales, I handle customer service, I handle packing and shipping. I even click my own pictures as you can tell( and yes, it is a dishwasher in the background)
2. I am trying to break into an industry where most of the aftermarket parts are so overpriced. I am keeping my profits to almost nothing just so that people can try it out and spread the word.
3. Currently I am not sponsoring anyone nor do I have any advertisements.
4. The only way I sell them is thru forums like WERA and on eBay
5. I was contacted by a few online retailers who said they could sell my warmers but asked me to price it way above what I am offering it right now. I wanted to, but then decided against it cause that is not what I want to do with my line of products. My only goal is to make aftermarket products affordable
I also sell keyless gas caps for all bikes and will soon bring out a full range of carbon fiber parts for all bikes at affordable prices.
If any of you out there are looking for tire warmers or Keyless gas caps please try my product.
The tire warmers are priced at $168 shipped to anywhere in the US
The Gas caps are priced at $44 shipped (base and cap).
Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have and I really appreciate the opportunity I have been given to sell my product on the forum.
I also have 5 sets of laptimers and transponders :$180 shipped
Disk locks $20 shipped.
Also, carbon fiber parts for any bikes including FULL carbon fiber gas tanks for new Ducati's
I apologize if I put some of you to sleep!
God Bless!
p/s: you can search for the tire warmers called “krosswerx” on eBay. You can read the feedbacks that people have left about the warmers. You can also visit krosswerX.com. This website is under construction at the moment but will be up soon.

They are all brand new in box. They are made by an Italian company calle pzracing (pzracing.it) you can go to their website and check out both the laptimer and the transponder. If you still want me to open a box and click some pictures I'd be glad to do so. Please let me know

Hey guys,
I have shipped out all the warmers and some of you might get it as early as tomorrow and some in CA as late as thursday and in so case friday. BUT, all of you will get it before your requested dates. I believe I have send the tracking numbers to everyone. There were a total of 15 tire warmers sent out and I could have sent someone the wrong tracking numbers..lol ..please do not panic. Just send me a PM is you dont have the correct number and I will get that out to you.
Also, when you get the warmers use it and please put all your valuable comments on the forum. I would really appreciate that. Hope you guys enjoy em and have a good race.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

It isn't a transponder at all, it's a transmitter, as in lap timer beacon. It has nothing to do with what an AMB transponder does. I'm not sure how the guy selling them doesn't know that, but anyway, there you go.

Got my warmers in today.... Anush overnighted them, but i guess fedex doesn't run on saturdays around here, so I got them within 1 business day. To give the guys/gals a better perspective on the looks/material:
The material covering the "heating coils" seems to be very good quality, not as thin as TyrSox Tire Warmers. The heating coils dont run parallel with the tire, but rather perpendicular (from side to side) and is in two strands..... as in left side has "S" shape coils and right side has "S" shape coils.
Although my back tire is a 180, the rear warmer shipped specified 190, so idk if that will be a problem.... if anybody thinks that will please pm me.
Ill be able to try em out at VIR on March 21st-22nd so I'll let you guys know how they do. Im satisfied so far, thanks Anush.

It's still not a transponder. I'm not trying to hassle you, but you're gonna have some unhappy people on your hands if you keep using that word. WERA requires transponders for each racer in order to race (can be bought or rented). The lap timer beacon transmitter you're selling has nothing to do with that system, but calling is a 'transponder' is going to confuse someone at some point into buying one for the purpose of racing with WERA.
I just thought I'd elaborate for you so you can see what the fuss might be about re: transponder v. a lap timer beacon/transmitter.
Good luck in your venture!

Anush and I did conferm they are not 1/4 turn. It takes 2 to 3 turns to closed position. That being said If the 1/4 turn would be more needed he can have them made 1/4 turn:up:. Not sure how long it would take to get them made and in stock.

That would be great, but 1/4 would be much more work as far a machining. The locking mechanism is more involved.

Sorry!!!
I'll let you know tomorrow on the shipping to Canada. Should have them around the 10th of April.
I just have 2 warmers left. And they are both 190/120. I think they should fit the 180 tire without any problems.

That's interesting. I have sold in the past on ebay but yeah I stopped selling on ebay. Could you pm me the item number as well.

yes that is Anush and the last set that was listed on ebay. After the listing and seller's fee's on top of paypal fee's there was just not much profit made on the warmers and thats why he stoped selling there. I think he had them on like a 29 day listing. even selling the warmers at the current price there is very little mark up on the price. That is why the price will be changing soon due the mfg price change. otherwise he would lose money keeping the price the same.

Hey guys just want to be as transparent as possible. I used to sell on ebay for $165 initially. At that time I was just sending the timewarmers as is without a box.And then FedeX got the better of me and said they would like UPS charge me extra if the item was NOT in a box .So inorder to avoid that I started putting them in boxes, yes the same boxes that you all received with the tire warmers. the local shop here charges me $2.45+tax/box. And hence the $3 raise.
I would have taken that hit too...But, with ebay charging me $17 on ebay fees and Paypal $5.6 plus $16 average on shipping was not making anything.

Anush,
any chance of getting the warmers in additional colors like black or blue?
Just ordered 50 more sets to be made and should be in around 4/10. If there are enough people that would like color options I don't see it being a problem. As of now it is hard to say how many would like this color over that color making it hard to decide how many of what color to have made.

no worries, i just think red, black, and blue are general colors that would suit everyone.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that the current stock of warmers are sold out.
The new stock will be coming in around april 10th. We will be taking pre-orders. Yes the price will be slightly higher but they will also come with an awsome warrenty.
I am your KrosswerX rep in the south and I will be trackside at many events this year. The first race weekend I will be at is Nashville April 25-26. Once I put together the full trackside scedule I will post it up.
I will aslo have rental warmers available at the track for $15 a day. That way if you don't have warmers or you have a problem with yours at least there is that option. If you rent them and like them you can take the rental fee and apply that to the purchace of a new set of KrosswerX tire warmers.

The warmers came in today and a first glance they are very nice and well built. I have only had PD warmers to compare them to, but the strap is made of nice heavy Cordura with ample hook/loop fastener.
The Krosswerx are lighter compared to the PD's and I am not sure if this is really a pro or con to tire warmers, more than likely it is just a construction thing. The PD's heating element seems to be more like a flat piece of material. From my research PD's use a silcone carcass which it uses itself to disperse the heat on the tire. Apparenlty, most warmers use the tire carass to perform this duty. Again, not sure if this is a pro or con as it appears this is just a method used in some warmers to disperse heat along the tire carcass.
The Krosswerx have a wire element that's placed in a zig zag fashion on each side of the warming insulation. This leads me to believe this style is the type that used the tire carcass to disperse the heat.
The PD's and the KW's use a single cordura velcro strap to initially install around the rim. The KW's then fasten back to it's self to secure the warmer on the tire. Both use bungees laced around the outside edge to fit snuggly around the tire. The PD's use a small parallel strap but then you need to fasten to outside bungee's one at a time. The KW's fastening system is superior to the PD's based on ease and simplicity.
This is only my first impression as I have not had a chance to use them. My next track day will be 04/17 with TI2TT. I will let you know on performance after that date.

I was able to use them and our season opener and have no complaints about performance. They seemed to heat the tire well, the strap to secure the warmers was very good and easy to use. The only thing yet to be seen is durability and life of the warmers. So far so good, Thanks!

But on this forum I will sell it for $188 shipped to anywhere in the US. The increase in cost is because of a couple of upgrades and all warmers will come with an 18 month manufacturer warrenty. This warrenty is NOT offered by any others at the moment.

To save you money and to keep it short I would recommend the regular keyless gas caps. They are priced at $55 shipped.
Some people prefer the 1/4 turn gas caps cause they pop open quicker than the regular keyless gascaps. They are a little bit more expensive to make than the regular keyless gas caps but in terms of functionality they are both the same.
Hope that helped.

I am very impressed:up: with your success over the last couple of months and the replies have been very positive! I would like to purchase a set of the 120/190, from your statement of those on this thread we can purchase for $188?
Also need a transponder but did not see the reply confirming the compatability to the WERA AMB system. Please send me payment details. I wanted to ask can you possibly make these in 6.5,10 or 12" because if they are as good as others say they are and you can produce them in smaller sizes.
I would be interested in speaking to you further! I am the sole importer of the Italian made GM-Phantom pocket bike.
Have the digital warmers arrived and what is the cost? Is RED still the only available color? Look forward to your replies.
Cheers

Same question as above, will these transponders work with wera amb system. Thank you.
royalgixxer
05-08-2009, 10:45 AM
This has already been said in this thread before. The transponder is only a beacon for the lap timer. It is not really a transponder. Only AMB transponders will work with AMB timing systems..

So I assume the regular caps are like Vortex (turn lid several times to remove). Is the quarter turn like the Harris? Where you push it down, turn 90 degress then it pops up (in other words you aren't going to get it on too tight and have problems getting it off)?
