I could of sworn I had a username and all on this forum but I suppose I have forgotten it and used a old email address to register. So I had to reregister on here. There are a few Alabama folks on here that can vouch for me and this bike. Anyways....
Up for sale and possible trade is my 2002 Honda VTR1000F Superhawk. It is a great bike and I will miss it being my first vtwin sport bike, but I'm lookig to try out supermoto bikes and get back to my dirt riding roots a little. I have a clean clear title in hand. I will take $4500 or possible trade for a clean supermoto bike. Interested in DRZ400 SMs a lot. Please read below for information on the bike. Email me if you have any questions or for more detailed images of the bike upon request. Sorry no test rides and serious buyers only contact me. Thanks.
It's also on craigslist http://bham.craigslist.org/mcy/1048259102.html
Info on the VTR:
2002 Honda VTR1000F Superhawk.
996cc Vtwin / 6-speed .
I'm the 2nd owner. I bought this bike last year from a US Coast Guard helicopter mechanic. I bought it with roughly 11,000 miles. Previous owner was upfront and told me the bike had been down once in a low speed lowside runoff at the track the only time he took it out there. I inspected the bike pretty darn good prior to buying it and there aren't any scratches on the hard parts or anything to suggest it was thrashed. Only damage from the lowside was on the bar end and one of the fram sliders, obviously on the same side. The plastic fairing also took a small crack from the lowside and he fixed it with some plasti-weld mentioned more below. Looking at it or riding it, you'd never know the bike has ever been down.
The bike has 15,946 miles as it sits today. It gets ridden mainly on the weekends as a play bike. Bike has a few scratches here and there. One section that the previous owner repiared a crack with plastic-weld. Its hardly noticeable unless you're looking for it. I would rate the bike a 9/10 in terms of "cleaness". Overall its in great shape! Bike has plenty of vtwin low end grunt!
Pro-Grip tank protector
APE CCTs (cam chain tensioners)
frame sliders
custom LED tail light made into the stock housing for a OEM clean look
Motrax LED rear turn signals (with load equilizers so they won't flash fast)
"frisbeee-style" flushmout front turnsignals
oil changed every 2500 miles with Mobil1 synthetic w/ OEM Honda oil filter
Dynojet kit. K&N filter. Pilot Power tires. Rear could use a swap only because the centers are getting close to the bars. Front tire wear is fine (75% tread left probably)
Devil highmount exhaust (still retains passenger pegs for those that care). Nice, deep and loud exhaust (see videos)
Tinted bubble screen
I also have the stock clear screen. I also have a pair of new grips that I will throw in too. I have an extra mint condition red stock fuel tank I'll throw in. It was given to me by the previous owner because the stock fuel tank has a small dent and a few scratches from just general wear. It's not an eyesore at all and that's why I never swapped tanks for the mint one (see pics). It could use a battery but I will probably have a new one in it by the time of trade/sale.
CLEAN TITLE IN HAND!!!
There might be one or two things I'm missing off the top of my head right now but that about sums it up for what comes with the bike. The bike runs excellent and gives me no issues. It gets ton of looks as its usually the only thing that stands out in a sea of GSXRs, R1s, CBRs etc. A lot of people still don't know what it is sometimes. It's a very fun and quick bike with lots of lovely lowend and midrange torque. I've never had any problem staying up with the fast I4s in the twisties at all. The Superhawk loves the twisty bits. I take care of my toys and this bike is no exception. I've pampered it since I've owned it and the previous owner seemed to be a very level-headed older guy. I'm just looking to get into something different and maybe get more towards my dirt roots.
I'm locatted in central Alabama. I would be willing to travel to some of the surrounding areas in the southern neighboring states. Although I'm not opposed to a good deal to a bike a little further out if its solid. Let me know if you're interested and what you have to offer. Thanks and I hope to soon get involved in SMs!

These pics were taken at Barber but keep in mind the exhaust blueing shown in the pics has been taken care off with Blue-Away. It's just that I don't have recent pics of the bike and I'm posting these...
