Why the heck are you selling a Limited edition Rossi replica that will only be available in 500 units, discounted by $200 off retail. Why do you think that you can destroy the value of our brand and cheap sale it like that.
We are enforcing our MSRP policy (something that should have been down long ago) and if you do not remove your post I am going to make sure you do not receive these helmets.
On top of that, i think that it is a pretty bad business decision: limited editions always sell in a very short time and it is a good way, in difficult economic time like now, for a dealer like you, to make a decent margin and keep business afloat.
Selling a limited helmet, 2 months before it is released, at an unacceptable discount is showing a lot of disrespect not only to our brand but to all respected dealers in the US.
just for this, i am going to make sure that you do not get delivered.
8 months from now after all of about 7 of those helmets have sold for the full msrp of 800 bucks, give me a call. I'll give you $350 for one.

in difficult economic time like now, for a dealer like you, to make a decent margin and keep business afloat.
This just in from the AGV business school. "When economic conditions deteriorate, hold your price point, even increase it, to keep a healthy profit."
The long term business you lose will be offset by the sweet profits you made. Your competitors will be smothered by the demand they created on their buisiness for having reasonable prices.

Maybe, just maybe, D doesn't feel right about gouging people for an extra $200 on a lid... especially considering AGV is not exactly a top of the line helmet. So take your cheesy little marketing gimmick and your shitty looking helmet and jam them up your elitist ass. Thank god I saw this, I was actually considering buying an AGV... guess it's time for another Hayden (Edwards maybe?) Arai.

There was never a price agreement with AGV in the past, so unless you've signed something with them sell them for whatever you want. Dont let him scare you from selling a product.

Nope I never signed anything and was never told of any enforcement of retail pricing. I try to offer deals as much as I can, however if there is any pricing restrictions with the manufacturer I respect them. If AGV now has a new advertising policy, it would have been nice to be made aware before being chewed out in public like this.

You have to sign a MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) Agreement for them to hold you accountable.
I agree that this person does not legitimately represent AGV. Maybe if you ask Mongo nicely, he'll give you the guys IP, or at least compare it to his logfile so you can see if it's a competitor acting shady.
On a lighter note, can you PM me your best price on an XL Arai Edwards 8-Star? Thanks in advance!

Guys, first of all, all the Limited editions (never more than 500 units) always sell out and this guy who's an online dealer, could make a better margin if he'd respected prices.
Secondly, I understand that, like all racers, most of you guys want to purchase discounted, cheaper products. Normal.
but there is a difference between discounting a few $$ and going $200 under before the helmet has even been released. this is a devaluation of the brand that cannot be accepted. If you are looking for full race helmets retailing at $350, go ahead, there are plenty on the market but do not damage the image and value of a brand just for cheap business purposes.
I understand that you are all trying to defend your forum buddy but you also need to understand that we are pretty pissed about this.
I am not posting as an employee, I am posting privately, but be sure that the employee will make sure the rest of the dealers in the US do not loose margins because of cheap-sellers like that.

STFU! Try doing business in a business manner, not by putting someone on blast on a forum. I love when people get 'HEADSTRONG' on the web and don’t post their name or contact information. And AGV has no minimum advertised price contract for their dealers to sign so even if you were important, you'd have to follow the proper channels and have a signed, returned form before enforcing any such statement. Quit thread jacking, let the man sell his helmets.

Uh, while I agree at dealers whoring stuff out sucks compared to the legit brick and mortar guys that have inventory and have an overhead, unless you have a signed RSA or MAP as some call it, you really cannot control this from happening. However, for those shops that buy in product and offer discounts to racers on certain sites, there's nothing wrong with that, either. The OP is following the rules and is doing as he is allowed. That's AGV's problem - not his. In the good ol' US, we can sell for whatever we want. If we sign something stating otherwise, that's a decision we make on our own.
Instead of blowing up on a public forum and tarnishing your company's name, I'd suggest getting with lawyers and writing up an RSA/MAP and going from there. At this point, you have no legs to stand on and if you try and shut this guy's order down and he finds out about it, any lawyer would have a hay day with this...
I'd quit while you were ahead and go forward from here. It's too late at this point and you should have been a little smarter and taken some tips from about 90% of the industry that does have MAP/RSAs in place...

Yep.... This is why a company I am affiliated with decided to drop AGV and sell a few thousand Sharks a year instead..... Toothless Tiger MAP that they were unwilling to enforce. We still sell them but they are not one of our primary focus any longer.
BTW, A lawyer can't do shit to AGV if they refuse to send the helmets....then can always be "out of stock" and a PO is a cancelable agreement. I wouldn't ship to him if I was AGV but I'm an asshole.

We have been faithful AGV supporters for many years and knowing the boys personally down at the shop, I can say that this is not the approach they would have taken in this situation. We have a number of LE helmets from AGV and I can tell you with certainty that they will ALL sell and fast. Couldn't even get a 2006 test helmet no matter how much I cried.
And with all respect to any of the other formidable brands out there, I trust my kids head in a AGV helmet any day - any week - any time. We have both crash tested TiTechs and neither of us has even got our bells rung!

Headstrong. You are a fool. What's more, you are making AGV look like complete f*cking amateurs. You are not directly employed by them. You are obviously a player-hating competitor. There is no way anyone from AGV corporate would post shit like that on a public forum.
While you certainly have a few very valid points, you are obviously too headstrong and not very business savvy. You are trying to tell a bunch of broke racers that we should pay full pop for something that someone is offering to us at a generous discount.
