View Full Version : Kipor KGE3000Tc generator (the super quiet one)

This is one of the Honda clones. It ran great (smokes when cold, but once warm it's awesome) for all year, then like a buttlumper I forgot to do the Sta-Bil thing, so it needs cleaned out. Also, the oil level switch is unplugged because it needs to be replaced (cheap and easy...just never got to it).

It's every bit as quiet as a Honda 2000, and it puts out more power. You could replace the valve seal ( I think that's why it smokes) and the oil level switch and sell it for about $600 probably...I'm just lazy. This is a great generator.

$250

I rethought this. I think $250 is too much given that it needs a little work I'll go $215.

Is that with shipping? If not, how much shipped to 45206? I am very interested in it. Thanks.

I'm not gonna ship this thing...too much hassle. I can arrange to deliver it to SE tracks though, and maybe VIR in March if I get lucky.

Fair enough. Where are you located? I will be heading south at least once this spring.

I'm in Nashville...can deliver it to you for the Nashville WERA round if you like, and can store until then assuming I receive payment now-ish (only because I've held stuff for people before then gotten stiffed, so I'm about all done with that). I am going to try to make it up to a springtime Putnam STT day if I can swing it...could deliver it there if I can work that out (not a certainty at this point though).

Thanks!

If I pay now, would you be willing to hold until the beginning of May and I can pick it on the way to Barber? I might be down that way a little sooner than that if I end up going down to see my buddy at Campbell when he gets back from downrange. Shoot me a PM and we can get it all worked out. I want to buy it, and am willing to pay now, as long as we can work out something with pick-up.

Ya man it doesn't take up much space. Hell, I might get a wild hair at some point and clean the carb for you (don't count on it though :) ).

Lemme know.

Wow that was a good deal. Everything you've sold I have wanted to buy! Only problem is you would have had to sit on it all for 2 weeks until I made the drive that direction.

It's back...Steve has had some plans fall through that would have allowed him to come pick it up, so it's back on the block. If you want it, I'll get you his paypal info and you can pay him directly (he's already paid for it).

Thanks!

Is it still $215 and able to be delivered to the Nashville round? PM me the paypal info if so. I will have one of my buddies pick it up at the Nashville round from you.

Yeah, circumstances seem to be involved in some sort of on-going conspiracy to keep me far away from Nashville.
Bummed that I've got to let this go, but I really appreciate Dave putting this back on the selling block.

I paid $215 for it
Pay me
Pick it up from Dave

Thanks

Yep that's the long and short of it, just to confirm. Once I hear from Steve that he has an amount of money he's happy with, I'll arrange pickup at Nashville (or wherever else might work out).
