Mods if I stepped outa line posting here feel free to move/nuke my thread.
I am considering selling my street bike. As it is now it is a 2001 sv650 s with a stock motor (approx 40 k on motor) and a few extras. I know parting would be better but I'd appreciate what you think a realistic price would be.

The highlights for mods are
Woodcraft clutch cover & rearsets
Carbon/kevlar mvagusta(top) Sv bottom custom tank weighs about 9lbs less than stock.
carrozzeria wheels forged al 5.5" rear
LSL clipons
2001 gsxr750 forks sprung for 210lb rider work done by Zoran at Twin Works Factory
wave braking rotors front and rear (fairly new)
Ohlins shock sprung for 210 lb rider.
Vortex top triple clamp

M4 ti full system
Corbin seat.
pazzo clutch lever
Buell XB front fairing & stay
R6 throttle tube
New pilot powers

There is quite more but most is cosmetic

Thanks for your opinion

Really nice -different looking SV--they sold alot of them so prices are relatively cheap: like $3000 to $4000. Your tasteful mods will not make much difference to most people but the mileage will bother them--even though the stock SV should deliver 90,000 miles without a problem. I'm keeping mine, it's my favorite street bike ever!

Even with the mods, which will appeal to some and not others, the 40k miles is gonna nuke the price. It's 1G carb'd SV with a lot of miles...maybe $1500. You'd get way more by setting it back to stock, selling that for $1200, and selling the trick parts separately.

Definitely sell off the trick parts - a bit of a hassle but you'll make way more money that way (what I did with mine). If you do end up parting it out, shoot me a PM as I'd be interested in the wheels.

Could have bought a bone stock 2002 with 2k miles, mint yesterday for $1800. Wish I had the extra coin. :(

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I'll be keeping it,it may be slow but it just turns too well to let it go for a weeks pay. If I do sell or part it I would contact those who showed interest both in the thread and in PMs.

For those who are in the market, a properly cared for sv motor with 40K runs like the day I bought it.

Only 2k on it? That is bike neglect, I had a better motor in this one for 35K, so about 75K since 9/2001. Bikes like dogs need to get out and stretch.

Sweet SV!! Parting out would be your best option....

Now part that out so I can buy the rear shock! :D
