A GSXR1000 is the bridge between the goal of winning a championship, and the accomplishment of winning a championship.

My IDEAL bike.

A 2007 (or 05, 06, 08) GSXR 1000 with not more than 10000 miles on it and has been mantained properly and is straight as an arrow. Parts include: full exhaust with power commander, chain & sprockets, air filter, race windscreen, case covers , frame sliders, and steel lines. The motor is stock. The bike is safety wired to WERA spec. The bike will come with a race body and a set of Dunlop slicks.
Some spare levers and bars, and a few sets of rims ready to race on would be nice but at extra cost to me. I also need the bike to be shipped near the US/Canada Border.

I'm buying a hopeful championship winning bike for this season. And even if you're bike is a salvage, if can give me the opportunity to build that bike... Well almost.
Must be a GSXR1000, no others.

Didn't want to spend more than $8500 for the ideal bike

I have a 07 GSXR1k that was a streetbike, wrecked and I bought it from an insurance auction. I haven't gotten into the bike yet but it looks decent, rolls easy ect. I can push it to the front of the line to get you some specifics if you are interested. It wouldn't have any bodywork or lights but most of the oem stuff you would need. I know I don't have upper stay and ram air tubes for sure. I'll have to check inventory to see if I have gauges.

You can reach me at d2motorcycles@yahoo.com if you are interested...I'll get you photos and more details then.

Salvage title.

Thanks,
Dean

I have an 06 GSX-R1000 race ready, able to pass any tech inspection right now. Akrapovic Race full system. Power Commander 3. K&N. Hotbodies. LP Racelite Speedscreen. Spiegler steel braided front lines. Vesrah Super RJL pads. Vortex: frame sliders, gas cap, case covers, rearsets, sprockets (520) 16/44 on bike. Regina gold x-ring chain. Sprint steering damper. Penske 8987 4-way adjustable shock. AK-GAS forks. I think I only have like 1900 miles on it, track miles only. I really almost hate to get rid of it, but I can't justify keeping it when I barely ever ride it anymore- I've only had it out once in the last year and a half. I also have a very extensive list of extras to go with it, including many brand new parts never used. I'm asking $12,500 which I'm pretty firm on, this includes all extras, everything I have for it. However I could negotiate a little bit by keeping some of the extras to get price down some. I feel it is well worth what I'm asking though, for instance the AK-GAS forks alone were like $2,700. If you were interested I could probably also arrange to bring it a reasonable distance in my enclosed trailer to deliver

Now take that $15,940.00, assume you will grind them down to $15,000. $15,000CDN is equal to $11,700 US. Which is not a bad deal for a developed 2008. If you buy a 2005 or a 2006 you will not be able to claim contingencies in the pro classes.

"The following contingency awards will be available to Competitors racing 2007, 2008 and 2009 model year Suzuki GSX-R, SV1000S & SV650S at ASM, RACE, CMRA, Atlantic Road racing League Inc, WMRC, MRA and EMRA regional events"

If you buy a salvage bike assume $5000US for a 2008 in good shape. Then add all of the parts listed on a good used 2008 race bike and you will still be at $12,000 before you can say "why am I eating Spam everyday"
