Bike is located in Birmingham, Alabama
Now that I've bought myself an '06 R6, I've decided to put Hawkenstein up
for sale.
This bike just took third place in the nation, and tied for second for the
Southeast region of WERA.
I am pretty sure it doesn’t have a title. I have a bill of sale from the
former owner, but I doubt you would want to put it on the street again.
Might
be possible with lots of time and patience (total loss ignition, no
battery,
no wiring, no lights, no fan, etc.)
For those that don’t remember or know about Hawkenstein, here are the basic
details:
1990 Hawk GT, nicknamed "Hawkenstein"
Used to have a Cranberry colored tank, White solo Hiperform tailsection
(small crack from tipping
over in trailer)-but now has been painted blue with yellow number plates
and the crack has been repaired.
Frame & swingarm powdercoated black.
Gold powdercoated wheels (stock rear, F2 front)
Lindemann reworked F2 forks
Ferodo oversized cast iron rotors
GSXR fender
Goodridge lines
Pro-Tec rearsets
Rear brakeline routed through swingarm
Ohlins rear shock
Hiperform subframe w. Ohlins reservoir mount
Chafong clip-on's
Motion Pro push-pull throttle
SPA tach included, not hooked up w/ carbon mount -stock tach currently
hooked up.
Daytona temp Gauge
CBR600RR sharkskin upper (also blue with yellow number plate) and aluminum
frame stay -mounted
Hiperform frame sliders
Toby 165mm steering damper
GSXR or ZX6R radiator (big)
Chain roller
TBR rear stand
Engine:
JE 700cc pistons
Crower titanium rods
Falicon Billet crankshaft (crank alone was about $3500 one of about 10 in
existence and the only good way to keep a 75+hp hawk crank in one peice)
Elton Fish ported cylinder heads
Oversized intake & exhaust valves (2mm?)
Kibblewhite springs & Ti retainers
Megacycle X8 cams w/adjustable sprockets
Kehin 39mm flatslides
10,200 Box
Rear cylinder cooling with starter
Total loss electrical with custom wiring harness
Cases and cylinders powdercoated black
2 full exhaust systems: 1)TBR headpipes w/ MB Motorsports right exit
megaphone exhaust 2) Hiperform under seat exhaust w/ Hiperform Open Meg
(currently mounted)
Engine has been reported and dynoed to put out about 83hp at the rear
wheel.
I never bothered to dyno the bike, but it’s strong. It’ll run with any
of
my
friends superbike SV’s and many other 4 cylinder bikes on the track.
It’s strong. Take my word for it or ask around, quite a few folks have
been around this bike on the track. I have a box or two of
spares that will go with the bike- unmolested wiring harness, flywheel to
attempt to restore charging system, gearing changes, etc. etc. I bought
the
bike from Jeff Adams and then raced it for my rookie season and I had fun
with it!!! It has a small battery mounted on
the subframe with a nice system for charging it as well as hooking up a
car
battery to start the bike (starter system is intact but onboard battery is
not enough to start the bike, so you hook up a large battery to "jump" it
and it'll run all day on the onboard battery).
Asking $4800 for it all. Not in a rush to sell it, but figured I’d toss
it
out there and see if anyone is interested. It has a set
of Pirelli slicks on it currently but probably needs new shoes soon.
It also has another F2 front wheel (white, with stock size rotors) and a 90% cond. Michelin Pilot Power mounted.
Contact me off list for pics, or if you have any questions, or want any
more details. You may be able to see the pics here:
(http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...ageID=34679085) I'll try to upload some in the next post too.
If interested, I can meet someone at Barber or Tally.
Thanks guys-Brett
