Is their a big difference between the Vandals and the Extremes (Spec 1R)?

The vandal is a different helmet and doesn't have all of the bells and whistles.

Extreme replaced the Spec1R with new goodies on it.

Love my Vandal. Had the Extreme and the Vandal fits/feels just as nice for alot less.

Just be aware the Vandal sizing is true where as the Extreme runs small.

The vandal is a completely new lid that was introduced in 2008.

The Extreme/Specs are pretty much the same except for a few minor differences:

Extreme - Center Channel/Wind Diffuser (whatever you want to call it)
Spec - Does not

Extreme - Has a more "higher trim" of lining (feels like butter)
Spec - Has a step down (feels like butter still)

Extreme - Whale Fin type spiler
Spec - More of a Triangular type spoiler
