Will somebody out there please buy my friend Dan's old motorhome? I'm sure he would be grateful and I might even be more grateful. And I'm sure his wife would love to have the driveway back so they don't have to double park. :D Actually that is kind of my motive as well. The newer rig is parked in my driveway (not really supposed to have it there) and taking up my driveway space. Since he can have RV's parked in his driveway and I cannot, I am trying to get him to get rid of his old RV and trying to talk him into parking the new one there. They don't want to park it there because they are afraid the neighbors will think they are rich or something, "showing their hand" so to speak. I still have to convince them that I don't think that matters.
Anyways, enough small talk. The main thing is I just want to help him get rid of the older motorhome because he doesn't seem real motivated to do so. I told him it wouldn't sell itself.
So, here is some of the info that I know about the old RV. Surely somebody can do something with this.
85 Econoline Class C 460 ci 27' will sleep 5 or 6 I would say. Tires do not have many miles on them. Tranny was rebuilt a couple of years ago but this thing has not been on the road in a while so not many miles on it either. Now, this rig needs some work. New steps needed, back end wood needs replacing, some other stuff needs to be done. I think he was only asking $3000 or maybe even $2500. The engine, tranny and tires alone are worth more than that probably. Obviously it's an older RV but with a little time and effort it may be a usable vehicle for someone. Anybody looking for a "project" out there or does anyone know anybody looking for something like this? I hope so. I know a couple of you have talked to Dan about this previously but it hasn't moved yet. Let me know if you are interested. NE Atlanta (L'Ville)
